“SYMPOSIUM” was established by Georgios and Emmanouel Roussis. We are a family of artists, a father and his son, who have had a passion for sculpture and, lately, for ancient Greek wine-making.
Both Georgios and Emmanouel Roussis studied at the School of Fine Arts in Athens and Florina respectively, at the Department of Sculpture, with a scholarship. They are ordinary members of the Greek Chamber of Fine Arts. They have created a variety of sculptural works, such as busts, statues, monuments of modern but also classic art, with either bronze or marble. Their works make part of numerous private and public collections in Greece and abroad. Their latest famous work was the creation of weaponry for the main role of the famous game “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey”.
Georgios Roussis served as a member of the Board of UNESCO Hellas and a member of the Board of Directors of the Copyright Entitlement Company in Greece.
Emmanouel Roussis studied oenology and drinking technology at the TEI of Athens. Driven by his studies and a great personal interest, he decided to investigate the early stages of wine-making in Antiquity, in order to combine art and wine with a high aesthetic result. Two years after having graduated from the TEI of Athens, and having already taught sculpture in Germany, he took up a series of wine seminars and finally realized his concept of creating a theme space dedicated to the culture of wine and art.
